This year for Easter is seems more and more popular to give
gifts that are not candy related or limited on the amount of sugar and
chocolate. We have spent some time looking at some of the new and creative
ideas that mothers are doing to create a fun Easter for the kiddos without
having to deal with the sugar high. Most moms and dads are taking a DIY
approach and are making the baskets educational and personalized for each
child. We think that these ideas are very clever and want to share some of the
ideas that we learned along the way. The items on this list may not be for all
ages but we are excited to share them with you, we know at least half or more
of the items could be used for older or younger children!
For the DIY’ers out there we have found that homemade play
dough and sidewalk chalk are very popular, inexpensive items that can be made
using things you may already have at home. We noticed that a lot of patents
took the non-toxic and natural (in some cases even edible) recipes to create
these fun filled ideas! Now, we don’t suggest eating the edible ones but we
suppose kids will be kids and this is probably why this option is so popular
especially if you have very young children.
For the older kids we
see that a lot of parents like getting personalized items. Example, if you have
a teen girl mothers are putting nail polishes in plastic eggs. For boys you
could be putting personalized keychains with a picture and name engraved. The
keychains would be a good gift for either gender we think. We personally think that personalized ideas are the best
gifts to give on this list. Although homemade items may be fun to create and
make, personalized items are more meaningful and may last longer or forever.
For example, the play dough that you may make will eventually dry up and will
no longer be able to be used. However, the personalized key chain will always
be able to be hung from your keys or various places to remind you of something
or someone special. Even better, at Goodcount you can order these very quickly
online and select to have your picture turned into 3D. This will be the Easter
gift not to forget!
