When going off to college you will need several things.
However we have narrowed down a list to some important items of 10 to help. Of
course we thing bringing all of the common items are just as important as any!
The items on this list may be things you probably won’t think about but will
make your dorm stay easier and feel a little more at home without dragging you
down.
First item on the list is a very important vitamin, B-12.
This vitamin is the perfect natural energy source that will not keep you awake
or give you the jitters and will help with digestion. Second item on the list
is also an energy source, single cup Keurig. This single cup design will help
you save on space and will help you after a long day of studying when you need
more than vitamins! This brings me to item number three on the list. Of course
you want to stay healthy and hydrated. Don’t forget to grab a Brita pitcher so
that you are able to filter the water at your dorm and save on space that a
case of water would consume.
Now that your health items are in check this brings me to
another group of items on the list. Number four on the list is a 6ft phone
charger. No joke, some of these dorms only have a limited supply of outlets and
you will surely need the additional length to reach your bedside. Fifth item on
your list will be your handy tablet! Of course you will have your computer with
you. But tablets make reading books, digital text books and note taking much
easier. Not to mention they weigh less. As far as important electronic items
go, you wouldn’t want to forget item number six, a fan. Yes, a fan! Some dorm
rooms may not have A/C or a nice breeze to push some fresh air into your room.
This item may be number six but very important.
Then we have some
important items that you may need and not even consider until you need it most.
Item number seven, first aid kit. It is always nice knowing you will have a
Band-Aid for a paper cut or any other small injury you may get. You may also find
item number eight as important. A tool kit, is very handy! You never know when
something will come up and you will need to easily repair something. Let’s face
it, things happen in life and it’s always good to be prepared. Speaking of
being prepared, plastic storage bins fall into our item number nine. Storage
bins are great and can slide under the bed for shoes, supplies or additional
clothing.
This leads me to number ten on the list. We believe in
saving the best for last as we find it one of the most important items on this
list. A memorial item, or a piece of remembrance of home. Don’t forget home, we
know you’ll be busy meeting a ton of new friends and studying non-stop… But you
never want to forget about home and the ones who love and support you and your
journey through college. Family can be one of the most encouraging through this
time. Remember to take something that is durable, remember you are in a dorm
and anything is possible! We suggest going to goodcount for a laser engraved
portrait of your family and friends from home. Laser engraved crystals will
last forever and the image will not fade and if something spills it will not be
ruined. This item will be seen and comfort you every day while you are away.
This item might be as handy as your tablet!
